Are you concerned about privacy while using your iPhone or iPad? Just in case you missed it, there was a change in Apple’s User Agreement a while back (iTunes 9.2) concerning how Apple collects data from your iOS device in order to serve up ads that are better targeted toward you.

Though you can’t stop the iAds appearing on your iOS device, you can stop the collection of your data.

Simply visit the following address on your device to opt out:

I suspect most users are comfortable with targeted advertising and don’t mind certain data being collected by Apple in order to serve up ads that you’d more likely be interested in seeing. It’s doubtful though that this level of confidence and trust is extended to third party apps and their collection of user’s private data.

You can rest assured that security will be beefed up in the soon to be released iOS 6, where apps will be required to ask for the user’s permission before accessing Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Photos.

While we wait for the release of iOS 6 later this year have a look at the app Clueful for $5.
